Dear Parents and Guests,

As we approach our much-anticipated Merkel High School graduation ceremony, we want to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all attendees. In light of this, we have implemented a few security measures that we kindly ask you to be aware of and adhere to during the event.

• Keep fire lanes in front of the building clear.

• Handicap parking: north and east sides of the gym.

• The doors will open at 6:00 PM

  • General admission: through double doors (Door 16).

  • Handicapped entry: the northeast door of the gym (Door 14) for handicapped guests and their families.

• No pets are allowed; service animals must be clearly identified.

  • Notify the administration office if bringing a service dog.

    • This will help us make appropriate accommodations. 

• No bags are allowed; all purses, diaper bags, etc. will be searched upon entry.

  • Arrive early to allow time for security checks.

• Prohibited items are Weapons, Alcohol, Drug, and Tobacco 

  • This policy is strictly enforced.  This includes knives.
